In a well written paragraph tell the differences between the greasers and the socs. Use the book with page numbers and paragraph numbers.
Outsiders One
There are many differences between the socs and the greasers. Like on page two, it says that they are rich, when on page three it says the greasers are poorer that them and the middle class also. On page three it says they are also a lot wider that the socs. Not like the socs who jump greasers and wreck houses, and get editoriols in the newspaper for being a public disgrace. On page tree it also says the greasers grow their hair out and use a lot of gel to push it back. When the socs have short hair. On page three it says that the wear blue jeans and T-shirts, or leave shirttails out and wear leather jackets.

Outsiders two
We all know that the fifth commandment is: Thou shall not kill. With that in mind, tell me what you would be feeling AND what you would do now if you were Johnny at the end of Chapter 4.
If I were Johnny in this situation, i would be filled with guilt, all through my body. I would be scared out of my mind! You see all the people who are wanted for murder on TV, they're scary! I wouldn't want to be the scary killer wanted for murder. I feel really bad for Johnny, because he was just helping his friend, he could have drown to death.
If this happened to me, I think I would do the same exact thing Johnny and pony did. I would find a spot to hide and wait it out. I would also try to cut my hair and dye it a different color, so they wouldn't know who I was. I would pray to God for forgiveness and hope the cops stop looking for me. To be honest I would just want to be with my family, and have them caring for me, and helping me. It seems to me then, that you would not stay in hiding very long. I don't think hiding is very long-term solution to this problem, is it? ~Mrs. Best

B. Explain what Ponyboy finds out about Randy and the other Socs at the end of Chapter 7.
What Pony found out about the greasers in the end of chapter seven, is that they're just guys too. They have feelings just like the greasers do, and that he was very sad about his friend getting killed. Even though, he was in the same car, that a bunch of socs came and jumped him from, he now knew that they didn't like all the fighting like pony did (Well at least Randy, the boy he was talking to, didn't). He even found out that Randy was going to run away before the big rumble, the greasers and socs were going to have. So while in that car, Ponyboy figurd out that he considered Randy a friend after the talk the had, and that socs are guys too. I agree! ~Mrs. Best
Right know I'm thinking that, Ponyboy feels really bad, because Randy's best friend was murderd, by his best friend. In his defense though it was for self-defense, because they were going to drown Ponyboy. I think i would do whatever i could to save my best friend from being drown, but i wouldn't kill him. I would just try to throw him off of him.
Hey Adam. It's Jack Pulito. I agree with you in saying Ponyboy feels bad. He probably thinks it is somewhat his fault. I think Johnny was doing the right thing because if he would not have done anything the Socs could have killed both of them. I know what you mean by saying you would just throw the Soc of of him, but that would be hard considering he had all of the other Socs helping him. You did a really good job describing how Ponyboy could have I felt. I never looked at it that way.

A. When we get to know people better, we usually like them more. If that's true, what could we do if we really don't like someone?
I think the statement at the beginning of the sentence was mostly true, but not completely. Sometimes when i meet someone, and just don't like them off the bat, I just don't really hang out with them, but if I see them somewhere and play with them I sometimes might like them more, but sometimes it makes me not like the more. This might happen because the don't see me as a friend or are just plain mean, but whatever the case this might happen. On the other hand, if hang out with someone I didn't like originally I could change my mind and think of them as a friend.
One thing we could do, if you don't like someone, is just stay away from them, or just be nice to them and see if they would be nice to you too.
Good thoughts. It is tough to like someone who is mean to you, but you can always be polite. ~Mrs. Best
Adam I think that's totally true. You have to do stuff with them first and like you said you just don;t like them right off the bat. You may need to invite them over to your house, play a game with them and they also should be respectful of you. Willy Haeuser
